I had the pacemaker put in this year. I have a question. That same day I had a burning sensation in the middle and right side of my chest and still do. So severe that I can't walk like before. Tried many antacids, prescriptions from the doctor, also cortisone shots. Does anyone else have this problem?

Stomach related

You may have excess acid from all the stress you've gone through. It may be stomach related.
Stop all tomato products, chocolate, coffee and caffeinated beverages, fried foods, and alcohol.
Eat bland foods like baked skinless chicken and potatoes, cooked or canned fruit with the skin and seeds removed, such as applesauce or canned peaches, oatmeal and cream of wheat. Look online for more bland foods.
I hope you find relief soon. Be patient as it takes time. You could have a scope done by a gastroenterologist to check for stomach erosions.
burning feeling

This may or may not be useful, but possibly worth a check with your pacing team if you think it sounds plausible.
Pacemakers are implanted with factory settings in place and these settings are revised and customised to suit you when the device is implanted. If the voltage setting is too high for you it causes pulsing, burning sensations like constant electric shocks / burning feelings in your chest. If this sounds like what is happening to you it may be worth asking about the voltage and whether this has been customised to suit you.
I hope it is the answer because it's very easy for the pacing technicians to sort out.
Best Wishes

Heartburn

I had very bad heartburn right after my PM was put in. I never get heartburn so it was alarming to me. Had it for several weeks following. Docs had no idea why. Then it just went away. Weird.
I hope yours goes away.
