pacemaker

Every 8 hours, to the minute, I have a pacing feeling in my neck.  8:15 PM, 4:15 AM and 12:15 PM.  The feeling is not painful or accompaied by any other physical sensations.  It is clearly coming from the pacemaker due to the prcise timing.  No natual body function has a precise clock.

 

Any ideas??

Possible battery issue?

Before my ICD needed replacement due to battery depletion after 7 years service, I started receiving signal tones at exact 12 hr. intervals.  You should ask your doctor. 

Every four hours

It sounds like a calibration cycle to me but they're usually 24 hours.  Perhaps there is a setting for this.  Ask your EP or look up the manual for your pacemaker and see if it has a setting for this.

Battery Issue

Battery was checked in September and is around 95 %.  I'm going to talk to my Dr. this week.

In my case it was the pacer switching between direct current and alternating current and it would happen whenever I laid on my left side or on my back.  Just took a little messing with from pacer tech and have never experienced it again.  Something to look into
