Just had pacemaker /defibrillator for a week .is it normal at this stage for a muscle twitch in the left side around lower stomach that wakes me up if I turn on that side .

I would give them a call and ask if they want to see you. It's possible one of the leads isn't in a good spot. They may be able to fix it by adjusting your settings.

During first week with my first ICD 9 years ago, there were several episodes of muscle twitching at the left elbow. It was a perfect 60 bpm rate.  Like that noise in your car when you try to show someone, it would not cooperate when I returned to doctor.  This lasted about a week then went away.

I forgot what they call it, but it is common and the reduced a voltage and it has not happened since. A simple 'tech' adjustment corrects it. Good luck, Chuck

If you've only had your device a week...then soon you will be going in for your pacemaker check. Keep a list of anything like you described and when it happens. It's possible the tech can change settings. They also usually set the device higher at first til the leads settle in. At the first check, they dialed mine back. 
 

If you can change the sensation by changing position, that's something they should know as well.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
