For those that are following my updates...

So, as I said in a previous post, they have completed the install of my new Medtronic CTR-D last Wednesday. They ended up taking both leads out because they were "entangled." I felt great for a couple of days and started having chest pains which I thought was due to the breathing tube, camera, and whatever else they shove down your throat! Anyway, Sunday I started to feel a bit weak. Sunday night I couldn't get a full breath. I'm still thinking the damage from the tubes.. Monday morning, I couldn't climb a flight of stairs - too short of breath and off to the ER. 

After a gizzillion tests, they came to the conclusion that it is bilateral pneumonia most likely from my prior visit. I was relieved to here that!

Anyway to end this, among those tests was and EKG and Echo. My EKG showed that my QRS had narrowed a little more to 134 and my EF went from 35% to 50% in 6 days. I'm very happy with that and so is the DR. 

That's it in a nutshell... off to get my antibiotics.

USMC-Pacer, so glad you went to ER early and have a diagnosis and immediate treatment plan for your bilateral pneumonia.  You don't want that when you are in a weakened state from your procedure and with your arrhythmias ready to cause trouble.

Your EF increasing in 6 days from 35-50% is quite amazing, so can we still be hopeful for a successful outcome?  Hope you recover quickly

Let's hope! Just now received another test result = Positive Staph Aureus!

I guess it's common in a hospital setting. I'm already loaded up to the gills with antibiotics so hopefully that will resolve too. 

I'm scheduled to speak with a cardiothoracic surgeon on the 22nd for my aortic valve. I have no idea what route they want to take with it. I keep hearing the "team" is discussing it.

Man, you sure got hit with a lot at once! My gosh and you still sound laid back and calm. Good they're on things. During one of my hospitalizations a few years ago for stomach issues, I left with a worse problem than what I had going in. Caught a virus there that was making its rounds😵‍💫

Hospitals can be a necessary evil. Hope they get you cleared up quick! God bless you and keep you in His care!❤️‍🩹
