New EP doctor

I asked my cardiologist to refer me to an EP doctor because I did not think my cardiologist knew what to do with me. He understood and I love my new EP. I had appt there last week. They interogated my PM and when he came in he was astounded at how many ventricular tachys I have had over the last 6 months. I told him I have been blacking out, having dizziness and lightheadedness, chest pain, etc.
He was so informative, looked me right in the eye the entire time he talked to me, not like some drs who continuously are writing in the chart. He answered so many of my questions. He is sending me for tilt table test next week. If I pass out, he said he will more than likely diagnose me with NCS or POTS. If I do not pass out, I will then have an EP study done the following week, and if they can stimulate Vtach, they will put in ICD right then and there.
I am wondering does anyone else here have NCS or POTS?

Ella and i have had many dicussions about NCS. She has it, I have it and lots of others here. One of us should be able to help you with specific questions about that. I am one of the lucky ones so far in that i have no other problems to go along with the NCS except bradycardia. All contollable for me with out Meds. If you want some info give us a shout. Bowlrbob

Hi, Debbi.

Glad you love the EP! Many of us here have NCS and can help you along a bit with whatever questions you have. I know a lot of other people have posted about it recently asking questions, so you can do a search for those topics and see some answers. As far as the V-tach...can they try medication for it before giving you the ICD? I have NCS and currently trying to get off some medication but they are doing it slowly to evaluate if I have SVT. I will kow more next Wednesday when I go.

Keep us posted-

Tilt Table Test Negative

I finally had my TTT today. I did not pass out. Therefore, the dr said I have to have EP study and that an ICD is more than likely in my future. He saw various runs of v-tach. He reprogrammed my PM too. I havent had any syncopal episodes for a while, as my problems seem to be intermittent. The TTT was very different than what I had imagined. It was actually quite boring. LOL

Debbi-
I am new to this site, I recently got my pacemaker a year ago I had SVT and Abrupt bradycardia, I had 3 ablations before the pacer. I have a rate responsive pacer. I just got my interrogation done and I had 7 episodes of Ventricular high rate episodes and 135 rate drops. I have also been feeling like I am going to collapse lately, how many episidoes did you have? I am just worried because I have always had SVT, Atrial tachy not Ventricular and now I had those ventricular episodes on my pacer.
