FDA Recalls

I wanted to tell fishfighter & others that you can sign up for FDA recall on their website. That way you get 1st hand knowledge of these recalls. Also a lot of other info on recalls. There are a lot of them every day but thankfully not related to our PM/ICD's.

FDA Recall Information

Here is the link:
http://www.fda.gov/MedicalDevices/Safety/RecallsCorrectionsRemovals/ListofRecalls/default.htm

Or you can go to FDA.gov and then select Medical Device Recalls.

You can sign up to be emailed recall information by pressing a button just underneath the title of the page at the above link. However ... I don't recommend it because this list includes recalls of all medical devices everywhere and most of it has nothing to do with pacemakers.

If you see a recall you're interested in (right now, the top one is Riata), when you click on it it will tell you the device description, model numbers, and what the recall is.

A pacemaker completely solved my problem. In fact, it was implanted just 7 weeks ago and I ran a race today, placed first in my age group.
