I am 5 days post OP from PM for SSS and have a couple of questions. My BP has gone up to 163/93 and previously it was controlled at 130/80 or less with medication. Is this normal or should I be concerened? Also, I am still symtomatic, with light headed and dizzy and all I want to do is sleep. I wondered about the experience of others.
Thanks,
MH

Hi MH- I think that I would call your doctor right away. I just had my PM installed 6 days ago and I know they stressed to me that if I had any of the symptoms you are mentioning to call them right away. Are you still taking your medicine? I was on BP medicine b/c mine was so low but ever since the PM was installed my BP has gone up and I have not needed the medication. I would call your doctor. I hope all is well and let us know how you are doing.

Hi MH,
I to have sss. I'm going on 5 months with my pm. Right afterwards I felt lightheaded also. And all I wanted to do was sleep. I believe a lot of what I was feeling was stress and anxiety. I kept calling the doc and they were so tired of hearing from me. It's all gone away mostly and I'm fine now. I also have learned to ignore all the little aches and pains and weirdnesss. But I never had any trouble with my BP or other medication. Also, putting a pm in is major stuff, inspite of what the docs say. Give yourself lots of time to rest and heal. Keep contacting the doctor until you get an answer you are comfortable with.
Take care, I hope this helps
