Hi...Ive had my pacemaker about 7 weeks. For about 4 or 5 years previous to that I would experience dizzy spells from time to time. Now that I have my pacemaker the dizzy spells seem more frequent and more intense. Am I just having anxiety? I have recently been diagnosed with hardening of the arteries in my left leg, with moderate blockage. Will take some advice from you.
Thanks

Maybe anxiety, maybe not?

It could be anxiety and the fact that you are now extremely aware of how you and your body feels. I used to never notice anything now I notice everything. Sometimes I know I am being paranoid. But it could also be that the settings are not quite right. It takes time for the Doctor to get things correct for you. When mine was first put in they set it at 50bpm. I felt better but still had bouts of dizziness and in general just did not feel well. Lack of energy and so on. So I explained to the Doc. what I was feeling and he changed me over to 70 bpm. That was one year ago Wow! what a difference now i feel great. I have only had one dizzy spell since. And with that one I think I was over tired. Sometimes I forget I am 65 I feel like a kid again. So I overdue too often. So be sure and tell your Doc. your symptoms and maybe he can set your pacer differently. I hope you feel better soon. Bowlrbob
