Hi I am all set to winge again. For the last week I was beginning to feel better. Went cycling and didn't feel to tired. For the last couple of days I have not an ounce of energy, I feel completely washed, headachey and didn't sleep last night because of a missed beat. I thought when the PM took over in my case at night there were no missed beats, perhaps I am wrong.
I went to the doc this morning and he checked BP and HR and told me I am probably stressed. Why, oh why do they think that every symptom from the PM is stress.
I am due for my six week check next week and am not sure what to ask the cardiologist. I have to think about this because I have to translate it all into French.
Any ideas, does anyone else feel worse energy wise since the PM was fitted.
Also for the ladies amongst us, can we take Evening Primrose Oil without any effect to beta blockers. Asked doc this morning and he didn't know what I was talking about - could not think of the French equivalent to EPO.
Sad aren't I.

Tired and Weird

After getting a pacer it is all too easy to feel it is the cause of everything. I'm just getting over a virus that hit me about like you describe. The problem is that it also made my heart issue irritable and that made it rough for the pacer to do its job.
I also second Boatman's comments about having everything in the pacer turned on and all the way up! That's the way the pacer comes from the factory and they leave it that way. At first it feels so good to at least have a regular heart beat, but after a week or two our heart doesn't like all the noise. Be sure to see an EP or pacemaker rep. Most of the cardiologist's don't have a clue when it comes to programming a pacer.
And finally as to why the docs think that every symptom is stress, there are at least two reasons. A lot of the symptoms and problems are stress related, and the other is that the doc doesn't have any expensive med for the current problem! Seriously though, the first place I look at in myself when I develop some new thing is at stress and/or fear. I have avoided a lot of meds and procedures that way.

Hi Jules.
Sorry I can't answer your question, however, I can translate for you.
Evening Primrose Oil in French is, Huile D'oenothère Biennale.
I am from France, if you ever need any help with anything, please feel free to ask.
I have a few questions I'd like to ask you, since you are living in France, and are being treated there. I'd like to give you my e-mail address, private message me, if you are interested.
Take care,
~ Dominique ~

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.
I have an idea

If you look through some of these posts you will see many suggestions that people see an EP, they are specialists in the hearts electrical system. I bet many of them have been much better of after seeing one, I know I was. When the doctor put in my pm he had everything that could be turned on in it turned on! The EP turned off most of that and after changing some settings and taking me OFF all meds I feel so much better. I honestly don't think my cardiologist or even his clinic know half as much as the EP.
It can't hurt to ask.
Feel better, Boatman
