ICD Interference?

Does anyone know whether radio activated dog training collars, such as the ones sold by Innotek , which operate between 2112 and 219 MHz, can have any negative affect on my Medtronics ICD. I just had it implanted December 5 and I'm still pretty paranoid about it.

Thanks,

Phil

The frequency range is 211 to 219 MHz, not 2112.

Hello-
We have an invisible fence system with 3 collars on it and when I received my ICD I asked this question.
The manufacturer and my Dr said that there was no risk of interference. The newer ICD's are well shielded against this type of signal.

The main thing you should be aware of would be not
to dawdle through the entrances to stores/anti theft devices and things like metal detectors or other security type measures. Oh and some scales that send a pulse through to measure BMI, etc.

Best wishes-
Candi

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
