Hi there everyone! I'm so grateful to have found this forum. By reading your posts I've already had lots of my questions answered over the past couple of weeks,
My story: Several years ago I was diagnosed with pvcs. No big deal and quiet honestly I didn't even notice them anymore, In May I was at a routine doctor's apt to get allergy meds ahead of an overseas trip. My doctor detected an abnormal heart beat & did an ekg which showed LBBB....

Hi,
This is for the women (or men with history of breast cancer.)
I'm not on here much because I haven't needed to be. No issues besides bumping my PM pocket, which is still sore.
HOWEVER, my PM was put in pretty quickly, and I didn't think about a mammogram, nobody thought to tell me I should get a baseline. My heart pausing 9.6seconds regularly was much more pressing.
I’ve never had a mammogram. I’m a 42yo female with breast cancer in my famil...

Hi
I'm 41 year old with left and right bundle branch block, sick sinus getting paced at 26%. I have biotronik dual pacemaker
I had my pacemaker fitted 10 December 2019. Best thing I've had done feeling 100% better. More energy I did not realize I had a problem before, bedside the dizzy spells.Only regret for me is not having it fitted in the mussel. I'm swimming already and weight lifting. I forget that I have it.
I work in a car manufacturing company in th...

It way close to being under my arm but can't get there cause as I said the muscle is there and it can't go but it wants to move more.

Hi everyone, I had an appointment with a second EP yesterday. He was outstanding in terms of the time he took, questions he asked and how thoroughly he had reviewed my medical history in advance. He is my best friends close friend and he said my history was quite interesting, ha ha ha, I was glad I could help.
First, he ordered a PET scan to check for Cardiac Sarcadosis. For those who do not want to read my other posts I had pulmonary Sarcadosis i...

I have just been told that I need a pacemaker. I am waiting to hear from the doctor that will do the surgery. I just completed a study with a heart monitor for 30 days and my cardiologist called me imediately. I know very little about these devices and find that there are a number of brands available. How do I know if I am going to get the best brand or type of unit for my conditions? Where will I find the best info that is not from a manufacturer. They seem to be prej...

Hiya,
I’ve recently turned 19 and was fitted with a emergency pacemaker 8 days after my birthday after a complication from a different heart surgery, I was just wondering how old people were when they had theirs fitted and how long it took for it to feel not as uncomfortable while I sleep, mine is very visible & you can feel it easily through my skin.

I am due to have laparoscopic surgery to remove my gall bladder on the 19th February.
they have mentioned a possible need to switch off my Medtronic pacemaker due to electrocautery during the op. I find this worrying! I can't seem to find any information that would help.
Has anyone had similar please?

What is normal? Just had mine checked for the first time and technician told me is is functioning 65% of the time. Set at 60. I knew that as I wear an Apple Watch that is reading 60 most of the time. I was Bradychardia so I guess thats good....not sleeping all the time. But what is normal use?

Hello, I'm new to this site.. I would appreciate people's views on my dilemma! 30 years ago I joined a gym, and was told I should see my doctor as my pulse was very slow. I have been having check ups every year, and my consultant rang me this year to say it's very borderline, but half the team think I should have a pacemaker fitted and half think I should wait until I have some symptoms! I'm 63 years old and feel very well. I have never had any sy...

Concerning my earlier message and responses thus far:
My lead wasn't placed in the HIS Bundle; yet it was placed "high" as I was told. I am concerned about the possibility of LV remodeling, not worried, not anxious, just logically interested at this point. Does anyone have any opinions regarding this placement? Can it be changed? I do not know what that would even involve. I agree that as long as my heart echos are good, no problem. However, if my EF...

Had an appointment 2 days ago with the Pysicians assistant. The easy part was increasing my HB rates to 160/50 vs 130/60.
When I asked if the second lead had been placed in the HIS bundle she told me "we have not had good results with that, so he placed it high." What does anyone think of that?
My exercise objectives are ideally facilitated, now it's a matter of avoiding LV remodeling. I told the technician that my EF wa...

I am a baseball coach at a high school ....implanted in October.
baseball coaches like me hit thousands of fungos through out the season.
Our 2020 campaign is rapidally approaching .... tonight I was at a training facility and picked up a bat which got me wondering.
hittimg a fungo is a rotational movement .... on the left side where my PM is my bottom hand will grip the bat and the swing path will finish at full extension.
has anyone out there ever done thi...

The echo cardiogram came back essestially normal. Moderate tricuspid regurge but normal ejection fraction.
However, since I am clearly symptomatic to being paced in the ventricle Dr. D____ is ready to go forward with His bundle pacing. I mean ready. He wants to schedule Jan 30.
1. So now the questions. I"m familiar with HBP what is does, how it works etc., but I don't know much else. Like what is the power source? How long does power last?...

Hello, fellow miracles!
I have an interest in video games. When they came out with
virtual reality games, I had to get one. I hadn't even thought about it until now,
but does anyone know if I can still use my headset? It's the Play Station
helmet of sorts. Will all the restrictions and cautions we have, is this one as
well?

I was wondering if someone knows how long it takes pm to kick in? It is set not to go below 60 but has gone down to 50. Also wondering if anyone has gotten a buzzing feeling in their breast located on the same side as their pm.

A properly implanted and adjusted pacemaker will not even be noticeable after you get over the surgery.
