Pocket Revision

Hello!  I had my pocket revision on Thursday due to one lead moving and protruding under the skin.  He had to move the pocket down and deeper and was reimplanted with mesh.  Now, just healing and dealing with pain.  My doctor never prescribes pain meds for replacements or revisions according to his PA, but he gave me Norco and told the PA that I am going to need it - well, he was right!

Heart failure very sick

I feel like i am dropping from an eleveator, tired, and like someone is holding me from my nick what is that, my EFT is 20% and i have a three virtecal pacemaker. AV Node grew back!

I had an av node ablation...new pacemaker, worked great for about 6-8 weeks....back to working out etc.

then...AFIB, very low / high heart rates...just feeling like hell.

Turns out my AV node grew back (album ver damaged) enough for m6 heart to beat on its own...which automatically overrides the pace maker.

took a lot of digging for them to firgure it out! Pacemaker was "on", just not engaging.

Happen to anyone else?

Merlin @ home transmitter

Hello

I am looking for some help please!

My mum had her PM surgery today and was sent home late this evening with a Merlin @ home transmitter.  The nurse set up the first part in the hospital and told us to plug it in at home in her bedroom and it will continue to set up.  All the machine is doing is bleeping and all lights flashing.  It is not doing what the nurse said it would do.  Just concerned the pacing team are not back til Monday.  Will this be ok...

Golf Carts

I had a pacemaker installed three weeks ago. I live in Florida and we drive around in golf carts. We have two, one is gas powered and the other by Lithium battery. When driving either for about 20 minutes all of a sudden my heart rate jumps from 70 to about 112. If I get out of the cart the heart rate goes back to 70-80. Micra causing heavy legs/arm?

I have had a Micra for an instance of AV block in March 2023, a few months in I started getting neck pain, it felt like svc obstruction but my neck veins were not protruding. Possible Infection After Heart Surgery

Hey guys, 

I had my pacemaker leads and old pacemaker removed this past Monday, and a new lead less pacemaker implanted. I started having bleeding at my groin site yesterday, 5 days post op. My entire groin area is still really swollen and bruised. Is this normal after? I've been sleeping close to 18- 20 hours a day. Which is not my norm. I'm a pretty boring 8 hours a night girl. Complications due to Pericarditis, are there others who have had Pericarditis?

My story, January 23, 2024 I was standing in my kitchen, when without any prior warning, I collapased and fell on the floor with my eyes open but unresponsive. PM Heat

MY pm was installed 45 days ago.  For the first five weeks the site of the pm implant was warm to the touch.  I used a contact baby thermometer and the pm side of the chest at the implant side was 3 degrees hotter than a similar spot on the other side of the chest.  The Medtronics techs and the doctor's PA all said that this was an anomaly and checked the site for infection.  There was no infection.  A week later the temp is not as high as before but there is a no...

Recent replacement and lead visible

Hello, I had my replacement in April 2024.  No real issues with healing except initially the one end of my incision was raised and wider.  It's completely healed now, but, it appears that one of my leads is on top of my new pacer and pushing against the skin.  It gets uncomfortable at times, is visible through clothes, and just all around annoying.  I didn't have this at all with my previous pacer.  Any thoughts?  Should I ask my Dr to look at it?  ...

Post Insertion Hematoma

I recently had my pacemaker procedure on 9/10 and found out this week I have a hematoma at the insertion site. Wondering if any idea on how long this will take to heal and suggestions for the issue. I am still taking Tylenol regularly for pain and area has heavy bruising on my arm and chest area. Used ice the first week but stopped when I found hematoma on my 8 day visit.

Pulse spikes

7 weeks post surgery and for the most part, I am feeling better, more like myself.  Several adjustments have been made to address sudden spikes in heart rate, mostly early morning.  It happens so quickly, I just sit down for a minute, it goes back down in about a minute.

when I exercise, my heart increases as it should when exercising, so the other is a mystery.

Sometimes when I bend over it seems to initiate the spike, sometimes it just happens.

Normal pulse range for 100% pacing with BiV CRT?

My Question:  What is a normal pulse range if my BiV CRT was actually pacing at near 100% with low threshhold set to 70 bpm?  Would near-100% pacing mean that my pulse would just stay at 70 bpm pretty much all the time?  I guess my confusion here is essentially about what "100% pacing" actually means.  I exercise regularly, so my pulse moves around a lot.

I've had a BiV CRT for 7 months.  EF has been at 35% before and since getting the device....
