Hello Again Everybody!
Just have a few questions and concerns! Had extreme pain in the right arm from my fingers up into my neck, jaw, and ear/head. Could not use the arm due to pain and weakness, the only explanation is some type of vascular seizures, however, with the anti-seizure meds the pain in my chest that had come back is gone. Has anyone else experienced this? My pm was put in in May of this year along with a stent. It hurt so bad it took my breathe away!

This is my fourth time going into atrial flutter! I've had 3 cardioversions and it has not been working so instead I'm going to have a catheter ablation in order to try get rid of the flutter! I can definitely feel the diffrence from not having the flutter and having it. Compared to before I had more energy and more awake. Now being in Atrial flutter it feels as if I've been more tired. I'm not sure if thats a side effect of having atrial flutter ,but something is making me really tired lately.<...

Has anyone had complications with this device. It has been almost several months and I am having breathing issues as well as fatigue. I do have COPD but since the having the device installed my breathing condition has gotten progressively worse. Before the getting the device I was golfing without oxygen and now I am on it constantly. I have had two device adjustments and my cardiologist has told me that there is nothing else they can do.

My daughter is 14 and received her first pacemaker for complete heart block at 13 years old. (2 years ago). Her pacemaker is currently set at 50bpm and it shows that her Vpacing is 100%. she has been experiencing "episodes" where the left side of her body will go numb, then a severe headache, passing out, chest pain, tremors, etc. whenever she is really hot or exercising. Has anyone experienced this before? One dr said it is because her heart rate is staying so low even during exercise and refer...

I've had sleep problems since my first pacemaker about 9 years ago. Since then I've had to take various meds for sleep and also started testosterone therapy.
About 2 months ago, I started having high BP in the evening and continuing through mid-morning, but it was very inconsistent. My EP said my sinus node is regenerating.
About 2 weeks ago, I just stopped sleeping - regardless of sleep meds. What's really odd though is that now, shortly after I go home and start relaxing...

It's been nearly 8 months since my tricuspid valve was repaired (11/20/14)........so far, I've done pretty good but it's been a bit bumpy. Had an atrial ablation in January of this year for aflutter and eventually had to get a dual chamber pacemaker in April (coronary sinus lead to stimulate left ventricle in lieu of lead thru repaired tricuspid valve). I had an echocardiogram done last week and now my left ventricle ejection fraction (LVEF) is down about 10-15 points from a couple of echos wi...

Have had pacemaker( Medtronic) going on 2 years now and I always thought it worked well. My question is, am I supposed to feel it add a beat If the heart rate falls too low. I find that if I exercise this seems to disappear. When the extra beat occurs I can feel a fluttering for a few seconds and then it's back to normal. I see my doc next week and will tell her about this. She will probably want to change my meds. It feels like the a fib I had that prompted the placement of the pm. I thought...

Hi there, I'll try & keep this as brief as I can.
I'm 49, have a PM for SSS & have had it 2.5 years, my heart was regularly pausing for long periods which caused me to black out once.
Since the PM there have been no black outs but I've never been 100%.
Last year on visiting my cardio, she had the PM folks set my device to record more information & 6 months later (2 months ago) I went back for a PM interrogation & to see the cardio.
They recorded my pulse going at...

Hello,
I had a ventrical lead extraction last May because it was protruding through my heart wall. My doctor was amazing! He did not replace the lead because in testing he felt that all I needed was the atrial lead. Since then, I have been having major heart racing...from my ventrical area. It feels like someone is in my chest and trying to beat their way out. Anyone else have issues like this or suggestions?
Thanks,

I'm about 3.5 weeks with this 2 lead Medtronic PM for 2nd Degree AV block Mobitz type 2. I was told by the doc when I checked out of the hospital that I can get back to activities but need to be careful for 4 weeks and avoid things that might pull the leads out. I get it.
Before the PM I was very active. If it was cold, I went outside and ski'd or rode my mtn bike. If it was 99 degrees and 95% humidity, I went outside and rode my road bike.
Now I'm just trying to take...

Had my on demand pacemaker fitted 25.7.15 and since then have had a range of problems necessitating an A&E visit but they now say everything is ok with the pacemaker, my ECG and my bloods and my chest Xray.
However now when I walk I am getting this pain in my chest every few minutes-the family doctor has told me that I need to use the Nitro Spray to see if it helps but I am reluctant to start down that road because once started there is no road back. I have never used the spray befo...

So, today, I am bouncing along at work, thinking about the next set of 55 lb bags I was going to throw and the tanker I needed to climb on and unhook, when I noticed the pavers in the floor getting closer and closer to my face until I was lying on them. About that time, my newly discovered SVT fired up for the 40th time, and off to the ER we trundled, my boss and I. Apparently, what little bit of electrical activity that existed prior to my pm implantation in March of 2015 got very jealous of...

Hi,
Have had my duel lead pm for 4 months now and have noticed that my neck vein on the side of the pm is swollen. I am feeling good other than this worry.
Does anyone out there have any info with regards to this.
Thanks,

My name is Seth I've have a pacer since 2002 on my second one and 100% dependent on it. I know most have heard about the VA Hospital in Phoenix, well ends up I was on one of their list. 3 years ago I was told I had cancer , it was like one visit I had it then the next I didn't this went on for along time then they closed part of the clinic I was going to, but the last I was told I didn't have it . Well I found out a month ago I did have it and still do and it has spread. Because...

Hi! I got my PM last March. I have seen my cardiologist three times since then, including the one-month after PM check-up. He says everything is fine and in its place, but it continues to hurt, both in the area of the PM, under my armpit, and even on the right side of my chest. I can't say I'm in pain but it is pretty uncomfortable. After a normal day, the area feels as if were swollen, though it does not look swollen on the outside. I have been told that I can already raise my left arm but can'...

Hi,
I have been recovering from brain surgery after I had life threatening bleeding after a fall. I have been on Eloquis for a few years after receiving a pacemaker. I am literally blessed to be alive! I fell through the cracks of the system and suffered headaches and problems for almost a month.
I worried now because the only medicine I'm taking to prevent clots is baby aspirin. I have an appointment with my cardiologist in a few weeks. Any input on how I should approach thi...
