Help interpreting report

I am soooo confused with the pacemaker report. And after searching for answers online, I'm even MORE confused! Hoping someone can help interpret what all this means.

Possible Replacment

Hi, well i am at the hospital tomorrow for my checkup to see if my Pacemaker is ready to be replaced, been back and fore about 6 time now Since May 2103, which i keep getting told another 6 months showing on the battery. Been 21 months since i was told 9 months left in July 2012.

Anyone else had exoerience of Battery lasting longer than expected. Had this one 8.5 years now, first one was 22 years

Adjustment Setting

I have only had my pacemaker 2 months...I went to get it adjusted for the first time due to feeling tired...the tech raised it almost 20 points...he said I would feel better...is this normal to raise it so high so soon....should it be gradual..anyway within an hour I ended up in the ER! Does One EVER Stop Feeling Their PM?

I had an emergency Medtronics PM double lead, implanted Christmas Eve. I'm a very active 55 y/o Wife, Mother and Grandmother. No heart disease, just electrical conduction issues. In these past two months, I have been tweeked probably 4 times including yesterday.

Pacemaker Tolerances

Some newbie thoughts:

If my pacemaker is set at 80bpm and has not varied from this so far until this morning, then when I used my blood pressure cuff, the reading is 86 bpm, what then are the permissible tolerance variations? I know that when they ablate the AV node they will set it lower, but I just wondered how you can tell the pacemaker is working properly....

PS Can a pacemaker stop without warning and would this be fatal after AV node ablation? Sorry if these are in...

First check

Hello all,
I have had my pacemaker for nearly 5 weeks, feeling really well. Am going for first check with Cardioogist and tech on Thursday. Am not sure what yo ask apart from 'how's it going?'
So any tips on what I need to know and ask would be helpful.

Great 1st week, crappy ever since

I've scrolled thru a ton of posts, hoping to find one that covers my situation, but couldn't find one. So here goes:

I had a heart attack in 2004- after a 5K- in which I placed 2nd btw. Waited three days and two more episodes before going to the doctor, b/c that's how deep my denial was. Had total occlusion of RCA. Nothing could be done since I had waited, except to go on meds and learn to live with damaged heart muscle. (I was 44 and in awesome shape).

Does Pacemaker Record Activity

Having just had a pacemaker, I think I can feel and hear it working most nights, in that I have a pulse tinnitus where I can clearly hear my heartbeats (both annoying and sometimes alarming).

When I attend the clinic and they give me checkups on it, does the pacemaker record the demand upon it, ie how often it is being made to work and under what circumstances? I am jotting down a lot of questions for my next visit to both cardiologist and clinic, but this is the foremost one.

I have a dilemma

I had a ICD implanted 01/30/14. The fellow who did the operation an EP is not with my heart doctor that I used in the ER. I went to that doctor a week ago to have my clips removed and they gave me a EKG. Then said come back on 03/26/14 for my next appointment. I called them wednesday to make sure someone would be there to check my device. After waiting a bit they said yes that someone would be there. Heart rate increased

Hello fellow pacers
I just had my annual check up yesterday, in which context I raised the issue of poor circulation and concomitant issues such as chilblains and edema in one foot. I asked if increasing my beats per minute from 50 might help address these issues.
The doctor while doubtful, said it was worth a try and increased my bpm to 60.

Chilblains and edema

I have had a pm for just under two years and will be having a check up later this week. I am 70 and the pm was inserted because I had SSS. My pace is set at around 56, which is where I have been for the better part of my life. However while my blood pressure is fine, I do suffer from poor circulation manifested by chilblains and mild edema in one foot.
I am wondering if increasing my heart rate might help address these issue. Is it worth even exploring this with the cardiologist?

Self Test

I had my PM fitted on 14 October 2013. Since my first checkup my first checkup I have felt my PM do its Self Test at 10:08 every day. In the last 4 days I have been experiencing increased PVC episodes and have not felt the Self Test. My doctor says that PVC is nothing to worry about but I am more concerned that my PM is not working because the Self Test appears to have stopped. Is it normal for the Self Test not to happen or for me to stop having it?

Annual MOT yesterday!

Just quickly reporting that 6 years pacing, all is well. Test went great, hardly any af episodes, my heart seems to be stronger and isn't using the pm anywhere near as much as in the early years. Had a great tech who showed me how it all worked and explained everything, about 6.5 years left on battery life. Sooooooo I'm going out tonight and gonna dance the night away! ATP (Antitachycardia Pacing)

Does anyone have a good understanding of this feature ATP, not APP (Atrial Preference Pacing) ?
I have a Medtronic Revo MRI RVD01. Today, my EP asked me if I want this ATP feature to be turned ON after interrogation because she mumbles that I have a bunch of tachy episodes in the past 6 months. I said obviously "Yes" and shouldn't it be "On" at the first place? Why did she NOT turn it on at the first place and now ask me a stupid question like that and let me suffer for past 6 months?

Hey guys. I've been having a hell of a time the last 2 weeks. My fatigue is so bad, I'm having a hard time functioning. My EP pulled back on my beta thinking that might help but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.

Hey! I had a dual chamber PM implanted a month ago today. Tomorrow I'm scheduled to have the first interrogation. Is there much to this? CRT-D success

This is Texas54 checking in with fantastic news. I had an ejection percentage of 30 prior to having a St. Jude CRT-D implanted a year ago, January 31st. I have a left Bundleblock, enlarged heart and the Cardiomyopathy that goes along with that. I am participating in a research study for St Jude. 4 months later and still presyncope but no syncope

Hello
I am a 34 year old healthy, active male. I received an emergency PM installation while visiting the hospital after approximately 15 episode of presyncope and syncope over a 5 month period. No pattern as to why or when, my episodes are random. While in the hospital the monitor registered 8-10 second pauses and the doctor recommended a PM.
