Thanks for everyone's support as today was the "big" day and my first implant- DDD about 6 hrs ago and already on the internet.
A couple of days ago I was bumped and came back today, but it was a blessing as I wasnt nervous and all my concerns and questions were already answered on Tues.
It was like "Ok guys lets get going so I can go home"
I asked them to really give lots of freezing and thats why I have no pain....hmmm want until the next couple days when it wears off eh!
I had a great surgeon hardly any bruising, she was very gentle.
Crazy the effects was almost instant once I left the recovery room as am no longer short of breath anymore- love that part!
Thanks again for all your suggestions, support and comments.

I was totally awake during the implant and felt that rush when they turned it on. After going for few days without a good supply of blood, my body said "whee"

You know you're wired when...
You prefer rechargeable batteries.

My pacemaker was installed in 1998 and I have not felt better. The mental part is the toughest.
So glad to hear it!
