Has anyone had their pacemaker placed under the muscle in their chest? Does this cause discomfort?

hi!
i had mine placed under the pectoralis muscle, too, and it really is much better than the subcutaeneous placement. i can compare because i had the first one just under the skin, and since i'm small and pretty skinny, you could actually see it. yes, the recovery took a longer in my case, too. and the pain was a bit worse, but it's worth it.
