With all the encouragment I see on this site and the wonderful brave people that are registered here I feel I can make it .. 3 lead unit

I had the medtronic Bi-V [3 lead] ICD implanted last month, my third ICD. I can honestly say that this one has helped me more than any other thing I have had done. Do your hme work and make sure you get copies of all test results every time they "interrogate" the unit. keep good records just in case you have problems down the road. I hope it works out well for you.Papa Knight

3 wire 3 beats and a miss

Having some problems with my heart beat. I am 100% and am experiencing some irregular spells. Am having a bunch of tests next week, so they may find the problem. This is my 3rd ICD and really thought I had found the answer, maybe it will still come true

Keeping records

In over eight years of having an ICD, I have never had a doctor or a technician offer me any statistics, They just check things out and mumble to themselves and finally tell me that I should come back in four months. This 3 wire seems to be getting the job done, except I have very little stamina and have trouble just doing normal tasks. Being a couple years over 80 is probably the reason. Guess I am lucky and shouldn't complain.

Non communicative doctors and techs

What do you do about these non communicative techs and doctors? When I had my last echo, I asked the tech to tell me if my ef score had dropped from the previous echo. She would tell me nothing but said she would send it to the doctor and he would tell me. Then I had to wait for almost two weeks before his PA called with the results.

You know you're wired when...

You have the perfect reason to show off your chest.
