Bi-V Surgery 8/3 9:00 am

Won't be long now, surgery is tomorrow morning. Feel good now, the toughest part was waiting the 3+ weeks since we made the decision to go ahead with the procedure. Had a great conversation with the nurse Thursday last week. Coupled with all the information I've received from all of you on this site, I think I've got all the knowledge I need to go into this with a clear head. I am kind of excited about it. . . and have to hope that the Medtronic Concerto does what they think it will do for me.
Thanks for the support so far. I will try to post as soon as possible after the surgery and make some comments on that and the recovery.

The pups at the gym call me Iron Mike. I think they are making fun of me. Anyway I have the Concerto now for two + years with the CRT setup. I feel o.k. and it certainly keeps me going and I was just about done before I got it . I am still in permanent A-Fib but can't feel it now. Very active and I set a new personal best yesterday. Rode my bike 40 miles in the morning and came back in the evening and rode 26 miles for a total of 66. Not bad for a guy with 1/3rd of his heart dead, a stent and a PM/ICD 100% dependent. Hills give me trouble but I just do what I can at my pace. With just a little luck you should be kicking butt. Give it time to heal and start slow but sure. With a name like Ironman you are bound to do great things. Best Wishes.
