atrial flutter and failing battery
I had a rate responsive pacer installed for bradycardia in 2002. In 2008 a Medtronic Concerto was implanted for crt reasons. At a recent checkup they found left atrial flutter which will require ablation. Most shocking (pun intended) was a radically depleted battery. The EP suggested an ablation and most likely a replacement of the pacer, this after less than a year. This model is capable of mild cardioversion if it senses arrythmia (flutter?). Has anyone had a similar problem?
