The Perfect Pushup

I was doing hundreds of these...The device w/handles that rotate, designed and used by a Navy Seal(s). Just a basic pushup w/rotataion. Love these things. It was advertised As Seen On TV. I bought at KMart. Anybody doing these? Do you think they are safe with PM? As always, your comments are appreciated!

As with almost every bit of advice given here is the caveat to discuss your pushups with your Dr. Everyone is just enough different that few 'rules' apply over all.

My answer would be yes. . . . in due time. I'm no where near "doing hundreds of these", but pushups are part of my exercise plan. After a suitable recoup time following my ICD implant, I started back with wall push offs and over time built back up to the floor pushups. It's certainly nothing you will want to risk doing for the first 6-8 weeks and then - with Drs. okay - build back up slowly.

You can exercise patience and control for a short while and get back to your 'better than old self' in time, or you can be impatient and imprudent and set yourself up for more health problems. I know what I'd elect to do. Good luck!

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
