Hi Everyone,
I am post implant 4 weeks today. I went to see my cardiologist and he finally removed the last two stitches. I mentioned to him that I have experienced a few svt and two incidents of a slight head lightness. He asked if I had fainted or passed out, but I told him that the few incidents I've had have only lasted less than a minute. I see the Medtronic tech on Oct 2nd and doctor said that it will be adjusted after that. I will say that I feel pretty good. I have been released to drive and I can do more just don't over do and still no heavy lifting. The incision sight is stll very sore. I was wondering if there is anything I can put on, i.e. aloe vera or vitamin e, or should I just leave it alone? Also how many of you experienced arrythmias and svt and for how long after surgery? Znd when does a person really begin to feel normal/good?
Thanks, Quilterlady

Aloe or vitamin e are both great to minimize scarring. I've always used medical grade vitamin e ointment as soon as it closed up and my scar is an itty bitty line now.
svt's are unrelated to the pm but they might be able to program it so you can't feel it as much. The pm should be able to help the arrhythmias, depending on what kind it is. The pm can even out an irregular beat and speed up a slow rate. It can't do anything about it when your heart goes fast on its own.
When you feel normal again varies. Some do by 4-6 weeks, some take a while longer.
