Phone Check Thingy

Hi everyone,
I'm leaving for vacation in the morning and wondering if it's a good idea to bring my phone check thingy. I have one in a gray box with wires for my wrist and the round magnet and phone cutouts.

I just thought of bringing it now. What does the phone checker actually tell them? Is it worth bringing?

Thanks for your speedy replies....running around packing!

I always carry mine

The Medtronic rep said to feel free to send a check if anything seems unusual. Follow it with a call to the phone number on the pacemaker wallet card and let them know where you can be contacted. They will get in touch with your cardiologist.

Pretty handy huh?

just plug it in when you stop for the night. As they ussually check them in the early am hours. I take mine anytime I go somewhere.

Hi Wenditt,

Take it with you, The odds are about a million to one against your needing it, but if you have it you will no have to spend one second wishing you had it with you.

Now go enjoy your vacation and never even think about your having a pacemaker.

Hope y'all have a good one,

Smitty

You know you're wired when...

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
