My mom called it a band-aide surgery and it sure is some of the time. It takes a lot out of you though. Got to the hospital at 6AM like they asked. I was the 1st one of the list so it shouldn't get delayed at all. Got wheeled into the operation room around 7:50. Cardiologist came in around 8:05 and the procedure went underway. About 40 minutes later I was out of the surgery and into the recovery room. My husband came in soon after. Once I was awake enough I ate my lunch that they had given me. At 11AM I was discharged from the hospital. We were on our way home. Once home I took some ibuprofen and took a 4 hour nap. It has been a long day. I am glad I did it....of course I have no other choice because I am 100% dependant on this little thing.

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
