I have had my Medtronic PM now for 4 months. I had my first interrogation today in the cardiologist office. They said the report was great news that the atrial line was working 70% of the time and the ventricular line was only active 2 % of the time. I did not ask them but does this mean that my heart is getting a little help from the PM 70% of the time every day all day and that my heart is dong the other 30% the rest of the time? Anyhow they said that this was a great report. They asked if I felt any better and I said that I don't have to labor to breath as much as before but wondered if it was psychosomatic or real then they told me the above report and said that it in fact the PM and that with all the diagnosis I had that I was a perfect candidate for this PM and that the report showed it. The x-ray revealed that my lines were becoming attached very well by the heart tissue. Any comments would be welcome thanks for reading my posting.

Yes, that means the pm is helping out 70% of the time with the atria and your heart is ok on its own the other 30% of the time. The numbers aren't as important as how you feel, but it definitely indicates you needed it!
