I was wondering if folks out there are using heart rate monitors and what they found effective. I have afib, and tried the heart rate watch from Target, and that didn't work so well. I had to touch the watch to get me the heart rate, and I am wondering if there is anything out there that gets a good measurement for folks like me, and something that you can set an alarm.
Thanks for the info in advance,

I haven't had any problems with my Polar F6 which comes with a chest strap. But then again I am not full time pacer dependent.

If you look down a few 12 posts, I think someone else posed that same question. CathrynB mentioned a TIMEX Personal Heart Rate Monitor. You could always send her a personal message and get more info.
I was also thinking about getting a Timex with a chest strap, but just wondered how accurate the readings would be. Polar is another brand I heard great things about.
