exercise /pain

I have had my PM for about nine months..everything ok...exercise quite a bit..cardio and weights ..started new program involving a lot of upper body stuff..now have a lot of pain in ( particularly) my left shoulder and upper arm......have a back-up appt. with my GP in 2 weeks...so hoping it's ok...Google said it might be a "frozen shoulder" which apparently happens with exrecise and PM's?? any thoughts?? Thanx!..Susan E.

Hi Susan
Hope that works itself out for you. I have just had my PM for 3 weeks and am hopeful that there are no complications. Keep me posted on what your GP says and I am hoping all goes well for you.

pain/exercise

I started very slowly when I began exercising after getting my pacemaker. Like you, I was fine until I increased upper body work and weights. I slowed down a bit and found that helped....was eventually able to increase the weight without pain. Think about PT, maybe. I think it helps.

Shoulder Pain

by Pookie - 2010-04-10 10:04:03

I had shoulder pain too after having my pacemaker and blamed it on the pacer for 5 years....turned out to be a 50% torn rotator cuff.

Something to think about.

Good luck,
Pookie

Yep, I've been very active for years, but somehow I still am about to turn 80. Maybe we are going at it the wrong way and wearing our bodies out!!!! lol
