cuffie audio

Ciao amici, sapete se le cuffie audio sono controindicate per il pacemaker? non tanto per le onde wi-fi ma per i magneti che contengono. Fatemi sapere.....grazie

Ciao, io uso le cuffie ogni giorno senza alcun problema, ma vi consiglio di chiedere consiglio al medico prima.

Hello all

I just got into a discussion with my wife and came up with an unresolved issue.

In accordance with local traffic laws, I use a Bluetooth handsfree device whith my BlackBerry when I drive. The earpiece is somewhat uncomfortable and I am quick to take it out when I arrive at destination. My question is this: will it interfere with my pacemaker if I put the earpiece in my (left-sided) shirt pocket.

A secondary question is: given the fact that microphones and speakers have magnets, does it make any difference whether the Bluetooth unit is on or off?

Turn it off and there should be no electrical field. Most small devices these day use piezoelectric mikes and headphones which don't have magnets. In any case the field would be to small to cause any problem.

If you have a small compass around bring the ear piece near it and see if the compass is deflected.

You can cook me in a microwave and I'll blow up before my pacemaker acts up.LOL! I never had any problems with electronic, that's not to say they can't harm you, but in my case; it's never bothered me. I hope you can wear your headset with peace, traffic is tough out there to go without your blue tooth.
