Is anyone able to feel (with their fingers) the wires on their PM? My PM is implanted underneath my collar bone and since I have such thin skin, I can feel the pacemaker and part of a wire. Is this normal?

Very common with thin skin. For me it's no problem.

Wires on the pacemaker

Hi, Mine was fitted in Sept 2010 and it is exactly as you describe yours, to be honest I just assumed it was normal.
It has become quite a joke at work, if people start to fool around or grab my left shoulder I just shout "mind my wires" and we all just laugh.
Yea mine two

had mine implanted in 08 and you can feel them. I think its cool lol. I always try to get my wife to feel it tell here hey feel this you can feel the bolts and the wires. freaks here out and she has never felt it. I have got people to touch it and the expressions on thier faces sometimes are priceless. If ya cant have a little fun, whats the point.

Have felt mine since the first day it was there. You can even read the serial number on mine! (Well, maybe that's a bit of an exageration.)
Drives me buggy w/ the itching when I get sweaty. There are worsr things in life, however...

I can feel mine, at times a pain around it and I find myself rubbing it. Mine is a dual pace/diffbulator I feel the pacing part alot it drives me nuts.
You know you're wired when...
You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.

It's much better to live with a pacemaker than to risk your life without one.

mine was implanted under my collar bone in february and i can feel and see the device and wires. for the past month or so, i have developed an indentation where the wires begin. when i saw my doctor in may, it did not look like this. i have lost some weight and also have thin skin and relatively thin in that entire area. i'm hoping this is normal for people like us, but am a little concerned as it just feels weird.
