Hybrid cars/keyless entry

I was wondering if anybody had information or experience with hybrid cars or keyless entry. I know that the engines of hybrids have strong, but shielded, electromagnetic shields. They are supposed to be safe, but I want to know for sure as I am considering purchasing a hybrid.

I have also heard that keyless entry in cars produces a field that can interfere with a pacer. Has anybody heard anything about that?

Thanks,
Carissa

save the earth! lol Hybrid cars remind me of Captain Planet with all the talk about conservation.

Anyway, my sister has a hybrid and I ride with her all the time (as well as borrow it sometimes) and I haven't had any problems with my PM. And, we get to go on the carpool lane even if its just the driver; woo hoo! It has its perks :)

I'm not sure about the keyless entry thingy though.
Happy Car Shopping. :)

I've been in a hybrid car and had no problem.

I have a keyless entry and have even put my remote fob in my pocket right over my PM and have never had any problem. I never gave it a thought!
Hope this helps.

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
