I asked Cardio/EP a month ago about this subject as the battery life of mine has remained the same as last year. He told me that often they will show a long life, and then suddenly dive overnight to almost nothing. That is why it is important to have it checked regularly. You don't want to run out of battery when on holiday so see if you can have it changed now. As for the wound, if you can use 'OpSite" on it, it will be totally waterproof, and you can shower the next day. My EP cannot understand why all EPs don't use it. It also helps stop infection.

Turn off capture

Pamage, you can have your dr turn off the graphics capturing on your device that gives them all the pretty graphs etc when they interrogate your pacer. In doing so it should extend your pacer life for about a year or two.

Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
