Does anyone have any experience of pm interference from their Sattelite Navigatgion System? I recently bought one and I'm pretty sure if interferes with my pacemaker as I feel a lot of AF when it's on. It could of course be something else that needs addressing, but I'd be interested to have your comments, thanks.

car for 10 days last Sept & it had no impact on my PM that I determined. I kept it on the dashboard so as Sue says kept it 6" at least from my PM. Maybe you should check with your Dr & see what is going on. They may have you use a Holter Monitor to check when/what happens with AF.
Good luck,
Janet

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.

Most pacemakers are well shielded from this kind of thing. How close are you to the system when it's in use. I hold mine on my lap many times and no problem with interference. Keep it at least 6 inches from your pacer and you shouldn't have an issue. Could it be your rate response from the jiggling in the car and not AF? When I'm on the back of my husband's motorcycle my heart races a lot and I KNOW it's from the bumps in the road he hits and the pot holes he says he doesn't see..oh sure, his riding sure tests my rate response......LOL Sue
