Wound site

Hi, I had my pacemaker fitted in May this year and although the scar has healed well I still experience quite a lot of discomfort first thing in the morning. It usually disappears as i get more active during day -but not always. can anyone advise if this is normal?

l had mine in April & am still sore & feels like a stinging feeling as though its still not fully healed.
But my PM has moved & flipped on its side so is not in the ideal position , maybe yours is moving a bit too & that is why you are still getting discomfort??? just a thought. Wishing you well, Sue x

3 years and if I sleep on it wrong, it hurts when I get up acutally it wil wake me up. I think that is all it is, well at least I hope so, it goes away after arising for awhile.

Try putting a soft cushion underneath that bit of your body and see if it helps

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
