13 years and I have only had mine for 3. almost. Makes me feel like there is less to worry about and also for Janet with her 8 years. I wish you both well. Ann
good luck

That's a terrific battery life! I felt that way, too, I discovered sports and had two babies on my first one so I felt very attached to it. They let me keep it, I have it in a scrapbook, lol
If you didn't already know, replacement surgery is super easy, and technology is much better than it was so it will be new and improved.
New One...got delayed

Thanks so much! Well, they had to reschedule me until next Thursday because the surgeon got sick. I have a sub-mammary pacemaker and that surgeon is the only one familiar with with that location so he didn't want anyone else to do it.
When I got it checked in March, it was reading out at 36 months, then...6 months later, earlier this month, it read out at 3 months! So it declined 2 years 9 months in only 6 months time. Now it's been a month since that reading so i can only imagine what it's at now...I'm sure a week won't matter! Yes....mine went amazingly just shy of 13 years and I run quite a bit...it rests at 70 and goes up to 130 with exercise. I attempted a run the other night and felt like I was out of steam so I don't know if it had to do with the battery.
I just joined this club, but I've had my pacer for 20 years, since I was 22, and was a result of my surgery to replace my mitral valve.
Just wanted to keep you posted and thank you for the well-wishes.
Have a great night. :)
Hope its gone well

I am just grateful to God that I lived long enough to have my ICD put in. So many people are not as lucky as us; even though we sometimes don't feel lucky.

same way as had a good one for 8+ yrs. But this one is a keeper (hah!) too. I needed a minor adjustment & got it at my 1st office visit yesterday & it is great. Tech said this new one has more bells & whistles (my words) & easy to fix my slight SOB & was done & feel great.
I am sure you will be pleased too with your new one. Gosh after 13 yrs lots of new stuff came out. Let us know how it goes.
