Hello,
My husband got a pacemaker in 2001 and now is the time for his replacement. I just want to know how much is the cost for the replacement of the pacemaker without insurance. My husband worked as a construction worker and a welder. Where we can go to ask for some help?
Thank you so much!

Time For New Pacemaker

Hello Rosh,
I got my first pacemaker in 2000 and had it replaced in 2009. I didn't have to get new leads with the replacement, but the cost was almost as much at the first one.
As for getting financial assistance, discuss your financial situation with the Dr or hospital and see if they can give you any directions on where to go. Or, you might try the Tishomingo County Health Dept and see if they can direct you to a federal or state agency that may help. If you have no luck with any of those you might try this web site.

Good luck,
