Well I posted a while back that the 27th is my date for the defibrillator implant.

Hang in there

I remember feeling scared the night before my surgery. I was scared the whole time I was in the hospital, actually. But the next day I had an 8-hour ablation and then the ICD was inserted. Two days later I was home and recovering. At first I was afraid to sleep for fear I wouldn't wake up again. Then I was afraid my ICD would just stop, or even shock me. A year later and I'm afraid of nothing. In fact, I flew for the first time in 17 years, because I decided I wasn't going to be afraid anymore. Please don't be hard on yourself. All of what you're afraid of is normal. Most of us have gone through it. But it will get easier. I promise. Let us know how you're doing. The people on this site have helped me so much, and I know they will help you.

I`m also scheduled for a PM implant on Thurs, Ocr. 27!
My first, and I`m not looking forward to it, but it`s for the best.

Nice stuff that people write on this site, isn`t it?

Good luck and let`s talk afterwards, and compare notes.

I guess we will both be getting this done tomorrow it's my first also. I want to wish you the best with this. They say I get admitted tomorrow morning at 9 am and expected to discharged Friday afternoon only spending one night in the hospital. How does this line up with the plans they have for you.

You know you're wired when...

You make store alarms beep.
