Is Hanging up-side-down bad?

Someone told me that Yoga positions where you hang up-side-down or stand on your head are bad because they could pull out your electrodes. I think it's bull. It seems like it would be insignificant when you think of the way the electrodes whip around all of the time. Has anyone else heard of this?
Thanks,
Jim Jim

I dont know who told you that but after your pacemaker has and leads have been in situ for 8 weeks there is no problem. Peter

I haven't hung upside down in about 10 years! I had one of those machines and used it regularly. In those days the warning was "you are going to cause yourself to have a stroke".
I tend to agree with you that being upside down wouldn't significantly increase pressure on the leads. Not only is the heart wall moving rapidly, but also the leads are immersed in blood which is pulsing. In fact the lead to the ventricles has to pass through the atrial-ventricular valve as well.
If you do it with one of the machines just be sure you have the foot restraints on. My wife went out on the porch one beautiful morning and was so spaced out watching the sunrise that she climbed aboard without the boots on. Luckly she didn't do any serious damage when she fell out of the machine.
We'll look for your next post with the letters upside down.
