At a loss

Had AV node ablated and PM fitted over a year and a half ago.
I am 100% paced. I have intermittent A Fib. The A Fib had decreased after the PM was implanted. Now its every other day and lasting all day into the next, which leaves me tired, dizzy and short of breath. Have been to my cardiologist 2 times in the past month. I saw the device lady and she tweaked some kind of setting, she said the PM was reacting to the A fib and increasing my heart rate so she readjusted that setting. Didnt help. Then it was discovered I was a bit high in potassium, so I lowered that... no improvement. I have terrible charlie horses in my legs at nite also. And now, quite often, while stretching in bed upon waking when I stretch the A fib will start. Also been having stomach issues and had a Kenalog shot for arthritis. A fib worse after Kenalog shot. Any suggestions.

Check the website >a-fib.com< by Steve Ryan. This website helped me be free of AF after an Ablation & a PM, with the use of mineral supplements. You should see an EP and not a Cardiologist.

I had an AV node ablation in 10/00 & a PM put in at the same time. Felt great-no SOB. Stayed over night in hospital & getting ready to leave in AM & my EP comes in with a sad face. Tells me that my Afib is over-riding the PM. Surprise to me. As I couldn't get off work (clerical type work) waited until 1/01 & had the same EP do another AV node ablation. I had some symptoms (fatigue & SOB) come back before it was redone & had to go on some medication to help before 2nd Ablation. Had a few tweaks to the 1st PM & it only lasted 2.5 yrs. Never sure why it only lasted 2,5 yrs but my EP replaced my single lead with 2nd PM. That one lasted 8+ years & now on 3rd with estimate that it will last another 8 yrs. I am going into a very long answer in hopes that this may help you. My suggestion is that you get in to see the EP you like (or if possible see another one)& get some answers. There are a lot of good EP's out there & if you want to come to Anchorage I'd recommend mine.

Hope that this helps. Let us know how it goes. You can private message me if you think I can help.
