Still very tired

I am a 53 year old teacher/manager (Soooo busy at school) and 10 days into my bionic life. I have been very tired and am a bit worried about going back to work tomorrow. Pacemaker works fine. Set to kick in at lower than 60bpm. I feel best at 60bpm. It is when my pulse rate is above this that I have palpitations which I imagine are the extra ventricular beat I had been experiencing before which would than lead to bradychardia. Seems to me my PM is doing better than my own pulse!
Any advice?

Having palpitations also

I'm older but also got a new PM - just this week & it's also set to keep my heart rate at 60 or above. However, it's also set to not let my heart rate drop rapidly and I was thinking that's why I'm feeling palpitations at time - that the PM was just kicking in. I have my first checkup with the dr and with the Medtronics folks this week and will let them know. Have you talked with your Dr????

First day down! Shaky start - getting presentable is exhausting. Picked up by about 11:00 and felt good until about 3. Not bad! Had the stitches out today but am only seeing the Dr in January. Will wait to see what he has to say about the palpitations unless they get worse. Definitely a better day. Maybe getting moving is the answer. Would like to hear what your Dr has to say watson2. Good health!

Almost 6 weeks in and still tired. Am getting really fed up. Had some complications - pm went nuts! ECG looked like a crazy kid with a crayn for 10 beats, then my own heart rate - quite normal, then the crazy crayon-kid again. My cardio was not around and I didnt like the on-call guy so they turned it off untill my cardio got back(about 5 days of quiet self-monitoring). Lead in auricle shifted slightly, turned back on and voltage increased. That was about 10 days ago. Feeling some referal to my diaphragm and up my neck! How normal is all this. Still soooo tired all the time. How long do I wait patiently?

It made a HUGE difference in my life. Once I got it, I was finally able to run, and ride my bike long distances.
