Hello,

How many individuals have the Unify CRT-D model?

CRT-D

This is my second one. The first one was a Medtronic that was implanted in 2007. Just had the Unify implanted Dec. 21st. Two chambers are paced. I am not complaining because it is a blessing that this type of technology even exists to help us. I think the thing that helps me is to be able to talk to individuals that understand what we go through on a daily basis. Also, I find that the more knowledge that is gained regarding your condition helps you to cope with things better.

CRT-D

Got mine in May of this year to upgrade from St Jude dual lead PM. Reason for the upgrade: Doc shifted me to Tikosyn from Propafenone to control A-fib. Still had A-Fib episodes so I had a complete AV Node Ablation. My EF was in the 30-40% range so my EP decides that a CRT was needed to keep both Heart Ventricles in sync. Six month later my EF increased to 50-60% and I feel better. Still have A-fib episodes but don't feel them and am not rung out like I was after previous episodes.

Hope you get along well with your CRT-D.
