Has anyone had a problem with it feeling like their shoulder hits their pacemaker then they move their arm? It feels like this whenever i am moving my left arm. I only got it implanted 3 weeks ago so not sure if it is just a feeling that you get used to or something that stays around forever

The tissue around the edges of the pocket are a bit sensitive for a few weeks so you notice it. Mine is almost against the collar bone with my arm down, but if I reach across to the right it actually rides up over the collar bone. I don't notice it any more. Of course I've had the current pacer since Jan 2010.
I would suggest keeping the arm mobile even though you feel it. Otherwise, you can form scar tissue that will have to be stretched free later.
I have some photo's of mine in the Gallery that you might want to look at. Several others have posted them also.

Mine does what Franks does and rides up over the collarbone, It also presses against my shoulder. I can no longer drive with my hands a 2 and 10 on the steeringwheel but have to drop my rt arm down to 7. Ive had the PM since Nov 2011.
The cardio does not think this is a problem and advised me to put on some weight!
At least I wake up every morning!
Good luck

Hi Jchart86,
I've had my PM for 6 months now. I'm a small woman and it definitely sticks out into my armpit. When I move my left arm to the right, I feel it. The feeling has not gone away or lessened. I can see it and it is sticking toward my arm and in the way. But, I've learned to tolerate it.
And, I am soon get a bigger one. Oy vey!

If you mean it feels like it is hitting your collar bone when you move your arm, mine definitely felt like that. It hurt and I thought for sure it was pressing into my collar bone as it is implanted as high as it can get. I am almost three months out from surgery and the feeling has completely gone away. Normal, pain free arm movement.

A pacemaker completely solved my problem. In fact, it was implanted just 7 weeks ago and I ran a race today, placed first in my age group.

this is my third one. if you are a woman, this might work for you. this one started settling down in my breast. the edge started being on top off my breast inplant. it worked out well because it didnt show on my shoulder. I started wearing a good bra all of the time even to bed untill it starts settling in and I guess, growing in. If you are guy, sorry can't help you.
