I had my PM implanted 1/9/2012 right after you and I felt some burning very little. Lets not forget skin type plays a role in the healing process as well. My scar appears lighter now and yes your nurse was correct don't put anything on it. It has flattened and looks great. The only advice is plenty of sunsreen if in the sun. Other than that I'm like you so happy to have this site to vent and to listen. Great people on here who really care about each other. Hang in there and maybe we can compare next month since we had our surgeries so close together. TTYL

I had the same feeling in 3rd grade. I remember playing kickball and feeling a sticky soreness. It will pass in time. And it was following my first replacement back in the 80s. Scar tissue and muscles take a time to heal. I was only a little guy back then but I do remember the feeling.
