I want to go home to visit my parents, but they are having underground fencing put in. Will it interfere with my device? I'm afraid I might step into their yard, and be fried to a crisp. Ive almost had mine for a year, and I have been very careful with it.
If someone could just let me know, if there are warnings about this, that would be great. Thank you.

Electric Fence concerns

We have an underground electric fence for our dog and I and my PM have not been impacted by it. I do try to stay away from the box in our garage that has all of the "stuff" in it and maintain a distance from the actual buried electric line. So, no problems here, just remember to stay away from "wearing" the collar and all will be well.
Dog Fence & Pacemaker

Hello,
All you need to do wrap your feet in aluminum foil and tie a piece of wire to your belt that is long enough to drag on the ground and you will be safe.
Now, I hope you are not offended at my attempt to joke about what is obviously a serious matter to you, but the fence will not harm your PM. Neither your PM nor the fence will ever know the other is around.
Hope you have a good visit,
Smitty

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.

I was told by Medtronic not to stand over the wires in ground. Just walk over them and you won't have a problem with it.
