If you read my replies in the topic below about iPods and pacemakers, you'll see that I wrote to the reporter about the misconception that pacemakers are only for "old" people. You can see a copy of what I sent her in that topic posting.
Anyway, she just responded to me:
"Hi, thanks. This would be a good story if I can localize it to central Wisconsin. Do you know anyone in our area with a pacemaker that is not an elderly citizen? Our hospitals are not very helpful in connecting us with patients. Thanks-Liz"
I sure would love it if we had anyone here who fit the bill and would be willing to talk with her about it. I figure anything we can do to educate people about pacemakers and ICDs is a good thing.
Thanks.

I was willing to talk with her too, but she's hoping to localize the story using someone from Wisconsin. I could have sworn we had some Wisconsinites here.
Thanks!

A pacemaker suddenly quitting is no more likely to happen than you are to be struck by lightening.
I am willing

I am not from Wisconsin but would be willing to talk to her. Anything to help get the word out. I am 50 and consider myself young! Let me know and I'll give you my e-mail
