Scar Tissue hurts

Hi! I got my PM on 4/24/12---I thought I was home free...and I still am since my heart and activities and everything are doing great!
But...the scar is really tight and touchy now---sharp pains and itching. I think this is just the healing process, am I correct?
Or should I visit the doctor. No redness or fever or anything.

It's all part of healing! The nerves are knitting back together. Vitamin e or aloe might help it feel better. Watch for signs of infection- swelling, redness, oozing, streaking- as long as you don't have any of that it's ok. And temporary!

Thanks---I saw that someone else said to use vitamin e--my doc said no lotions etc---but then he is a man and I really do itch!!!
