Hi Smitty - Although I have been hit or miss the past few weeks I had not seen a posting from you in quite a while. I was concerned that maybe you were not well. Then this morning there you are telling us all about Hysteresis. Thank you! You are right - that doctor needs to be kicked in the seat of the pants. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill and then sending the patient off to try to figure out what was just said. Will these docs ever learn to speak in "patient language"? It is such a pleasure to read your postings that are always spot-on. Take care, my friend. Happy postings!
Sharon

Hi Sharon,
Thank you for the concern, but Ive been here often, just not talking as much. It was suggested by my better half that maybe I should listen more and see if I could learn something.
As for my answer on the hysteresis mode I was kind of impressed with that myself. But, Ill have to repeat what I understand George Washington once said, I cannot tell a lie. I worked with a fellow for several years that loved to use the word hysteresis and injected it into his discussions whenever possible. But I had never heard in used in relation to the operation of a pacemaker so I went looking. All of my comment except the part about pacemakers was a cut and paste job.
But Im glad the question was asked so now if I ever get hysteresis mode dropped on me by some doctor when he is talking about my pacemaker, Ill be able to sit there and act like I really know what hes talking about.
Regards,
Smitty
