So for the most part I have felt like a new person after having my pacer put in. I could do a lot of things that I wasn't able to before, because I would get out of breath. Then yesterday happen. I went in for a check up and something was changed in my settings, I think they said the slowed it down. I didn't bother to ask because I had been feeling so good, I had all other sorts of questions to ask them. But as the evening went on I found it hard to stand with out my heart beating weird, not as bad as what landed me in the hospital to get the thing put in, but certainly worse then my normal day before and no where as good as I felt during the last month.
So my questions are, when settings are changed does it take the heart time to get used to the new settings? While it's getting used to the new settings can the heart beat weird? Should I just go to the doctor on Monday and request it be turned back up?

Tweaking

I've had my pacer for about four weeks now and have had about 5 or 6 setting changes. (I am having problems with my A lead)
If if you feel tired, out of breathe, etc I would go back and explain to him that you felt better before he changed it. I don't know what you mean by weird but weird for me is this annoying thumping and pressure in my neck. It shouldn't take time to get use to anything. Your body is telling you something is off and you probably just need a tweaking. It takes time to get it right.
That being said he may of had a reason to change it. For example; they finally got me feeling decent but they had to change it 2 days later because it used up around 6 months of the battery life. Don't second guess yourself and get it checked out. Write down exactly what you are feeling and he should be able to tweak you a bit or put you back the way that you were.
Good luck!

I am just now 40 but have had these blackouts all my life. I am thrilled with the pacer and would do it all over again.
Thanks

Yeah, that's pretty much what I mean by weird. lol. But I am also getting out of breath just moving around and staying really tired. And another weird side effect, if feels like my sleep apnea is back. Of cause the doctor thought it was weird that it went away after the pace maker was put it, but it had. So yeah I guess I should just go back on Monday and talk with him. So thank a lot for the info, you've saved me a lot of time second guessing myself about what to do.
