Hello Friends,
Today, May 18, is the 2 year birthday for my PM and my new lease on life. Very difficult to put into words exactly what this pacer means to me. Fortunately, I had no problems post-op and was back to "normal" within 2 days. I was only limited by "don' t raise your arm above your shoulder" mantra! LOL This little technological gem has kept me humming right along and I feel great most of the time. Honestly, most days I do not even think about having it! It cannot be seen even when I'm in my swimsuit. The scar has completely faded. I do thank the Lord often for the pacemaker and the fact that I am no longer in danger of passing out unexpectedly or having my heart stop! Whew.....that is a big relief! Thanks to everyone in this forum for their support, knowledge, nurturing and love.......I think the love is the most important and I sure do feel it here. Take care, my friends, and God bless each of you.

Yes, it is reason to celebrate the two year anniversary. My two years will be up in July. The time has gone by really quickly, hasn't it?
I also am thankful for my PM. And I'm thankful for this forum and people like you who give such good advice and wonderful encouragement.
God Bless,
Suze

I'm glad you took the time to write your message and that you are feeling great. People on the site typically have a question or complication, while the vast majority of recipients are too busy living life to visit the site often.
Thanks you for sharing your story as it will help many!

I am 100% pacemaker dependant and have been all my life. I try not to think about how a little metal box keeps me alive - it would drive me crazy. So I lead a very active life.

i as well was quick when i look back in recovery although emotionally i was not intact.i really did not have a problem. it was truly a shock but really i do not have a complaint. to-night i am on the 17th of may in the evening sitting out at a campfire in their backyard in calgary roasting marshmallows with my grands my daughter and son -in -law and the next door neighbours kids and having a great time. so what can i say. i could tho relate now to anyone with devices and not be threatened. we are a family here of wonderful people with devices. god bless and god keep you jess
