accident
Hi all, I have a concern..I recently got my pm on july 17th and have to go bk to dr on aug 13 for post op and probably some adjustment on my settings, my problem is a couple of times I wasn't thinking and I accidently raised my arm above my head and now I'm hoping that I have not damaged any leads..is there anyway to tell if everything is still ok :(

I did the same thing back in 2004 when I had my first implant. I finally gave my wife the job of yelling at me when I decided to do a big stretch in the recliner. I'm sure I did it at least 6 times in the first 2 weeks. My leads have been great since.

One week has passed and I must admit that each day I feel a little stronger.

I had accidentally raised my pm arm above my head during the first few weeks. While it's possible to dislodge a lead chances are you are fine. If the lead dislodged you'd feel like you did before you got the pm.
Remember not to lift anything more than 10 lbs.
Some people wear a sling on their pm arm but a sling can cause frozen shoulder and a pain to get rid of (no pun intended).
