I am recovering my 2nd lead replacement and pacemaker surgery July 4th. I was in a car accident, a couple of weeks ago. First surgery was March 13th, I have a desk job, back to work on Monday. Keeping fingers crossed for my Aug 4th follow up appointment. I am 49 year old female. Luckily I have a very good friend to take care of my black lab x. Hope your recovery is fast

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.

Hi Northerndude,
That was really bad luck having that happen, it must have been a really scary time for you. I have three leads and my biggest worry in the early days was having a lead go wrong.
I hope it all goes well for you now.
On a lighter note. It's bad luck being off work this summer with all the bad weather (assuming you're in the UK).
Best wishes.
