Atrial Tach

I finished 33 treatments of radiation for breast cancer on Jan 15th and decided to take part in the Donna foundation "finish breast cancer" on Valentines weekend by walk/run the 5k.
The last part of the race for me was grueling, I could hardly walk let alone run, but I made it to the finish line in 34 mins. I was ecstatic as any of you out there who have suffered the treatment for breast cancer well know it is more than a race that I had achieved that day.
I went to see my EP the week after and I had 26 episodes of atrial Tachycardia in 1month and one during the race for 20mins.I've had them in the past but only occasionally. We are going to see how I am in 3mths to see how it is. I am normally very active I walk, cycle,do step classes at the gym. I wonder if this is new for me...triggered by radiation?
Who knows?

Radiation/Chemotherapy/ Heart

Hello. Sorry to read of your health issues. I am a pink-ribbon fan. Have held the hands of multiple survivors throughout their ordeals. You mention radiation, but not surgery or chemo. I know chemo may adversely affect the EF, due to heart damage, and must be stopped at that point, even if not completing the full described regimen. However, I know of no instances of radiation being halted due to heart damage or arrythmia. Undoubtably, Google, or more- knowledgable members on this site could offer more answers; I can merely offer my limited, first-hand knowledge, and.my support in your difficult journey. ~Jane
